Do 5 Push-Ups Every Time You Walk to the Bathroom

The Problem

You can't do 20 push-ups in a row. You don't have time for a workout.

The Hack

Every time you go to the bathroom, do 5 push-ups (or wall push-ups if floor push-ups are too hard). That's it. 5 reps. Takes 20 seconds.

Why It Works

Micro-workouts accumulate. 5 push-ups × 6-8 times daily = 30-40 push-ups without 'working out.' Spreading exercise throughout the day also boosts metabolism and energy repeatedly.

Pro Tips

  • Start with wall push-ups if regular push-ups are too hard
  • Also works: 5 squats, 10 calf raises, 30 second plank
  • You'll be amazed — in 2 weeks you can do more than before
  • Add other triggers: 5 squats every commercial break
