Use Sign In with Apple/Google Instead of Creating New Accounts

The Problem

Every new account means another password to manage and another email in some company's database.

The Hack

When a site offers 'Sign in with Apple' or 'Sign in with Google,' use it instead of creating a new account. Apple generates a unique random email that forwards to yours.

Why It Works

Sign-in services provide: no new password to remember, email privacy (Apple's Hide My Email), and easier account management. One less credential per service.

Pro Tips

  • 'Sign in with Apple' generates a unique forwarding email for each service
  • You can disable forwarding anytime to stop a service's emails
  • Google sign-in doesn't hide your email but simplifies login
  • Both are more secure than creating a new password you'll probably reuse
