Patch a Screen Door in 2 Minutes

The Problem

Small screen tear letting bugs in. Full replacement is overkill.

The Hack

Tiny holes: layer clear nail polish, let each coat dry. Larger tears: self-adhesive screen patch ($3 for 4-pack).

Why It Works

Nail polish hardens into transparent solid. Screen patches use same mesh with built-in adhesive.

Pro Tips

  • Nail polish works up to pencil eraser size
  • Patch kits at Lowe's include multiple sizes
  • Apply patches to OUTSIDE for better adhesion
  • Multiple tears = replace entire insert ($15-20)
