Reset a Tripped Circuit Breaker

The Problem

The Hack

Find the breaker in middle position (not full ON or OFF). Flip fully OFF, wait 5 seconds, flip firmly ON.

Why It Works

Breakers trip on overload. Middle position = tripped. Full OFF-to-ON re-engages the mechanism.

• If it trips again, unplug devices on that circuit
• Label your breaker panel
• Keeps tripping = call electrician
• Never force a breaker that won't stay on
