Use Guided Access to Lock Your Phone to One App

The Problem

You give your kid your phone to watch a video. They exit and open your banking app.

The Hack

iPhone: Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > On. Open the app, triple-click side button, tap Start. Phone is now locked to that app until you triple-click and enter your passcode.

Why It Works

Guided Access disables the home button, notifications, and all other app switching — the phone becomes a single-purpose device until you unlock it.

• Set a different passcode than your phone unlock
• Also disable touch on parts of the screen
• Works for YouTube, Netflix, games — any single app
• Triple-click side button + passcode to exit
